Steve E Asher Interview

Howdy everyone!!1 This weeks blog we will have a little chat with Steve E Asher!! Steve is an old friend of the podcast and you may remember him from Episode 39 and Episode 112 where he shared his in depth knowledge with Jerry and Tracy.



On top of being an awesome father, a good friend and an all-round awesome guy; Steve is a long time paranormal investigator, author and fellow podcaster. Steve has firsthand experience with the paranormal, especially when he was working as security at the Kentucky State Penitentiary, so many that he was able to share a collection of his stories and write several books. Steve is a Kentucky local, grew up with stories of scary happenings in that region and a lover of the dark and the paranormal. With the release of his latest book and knowing there are going to be many more coming, I thought Steve would be an awesome guest to interview for the blog.


Name: What’s your day job?

I I life skills to special needs adults.

Where are you based?

Princeton, Ky. How long have you been listening to HHS? A year or so at least.

How did you hear about HHS?

My Friend Kevin Cummins turned me on to it.

What got you interested in the paranormal?

Early experiences.

Do you believe in aliens?

I think there is a lot of evidence to support that they are real.

Do you believe in ghosts?

I believe in activity that could be spirits.

Do you believe in Big Foot?

Never saw one but again they could be real.

How long have you been writing for?

Since 2014.




Who is the inspiration for your writing style?

Early in it was Stephen King, Poe, Lovecraft, and Algernon Blackwood.

What got you started as a writer?

People kept suggesting that I should release my stories so I finally caved.

How did you get involved in the southern paranormal industry?

I grew up running the hills and valleys of the south and I write what I know.

What’s your favourite part about HHS?

That southern touch, they are entertaining.

Tell us a bit about your podcast House of Asher and how to find it?

Well, you can find it on Spreaker.com. also if is on most podcast formats and replays on YouTube. It covers the paranormal and also horror related stuff.

Does pineapple belong on pizza?

As for me not unless it’s a ham pizza.

Your personal story:

it’s pretty simple. I grew up loving monster, ghosts, and spooky stuff and now it’s what I write about. It is my passion.
